Preparation today is key to success tomorrow
I have missed posting this past week because I have been enjoying a mini-vacation.
My husband and I are living with his uncle for two weeks and I must say it has been such a relaxing experience so far all thanks to their maid!
Yes. She is wonderful!!
She comes every morning at 8 am and leaves by noon.
Although she is just 38 years old she is very kind and caring by nature. She understands everyone's likes and dislikes immediately and makes sure we are all comfortable. Having her is a boon!
Every morning when I get ready and go downstairs, she keeps a hot cup of coffee ready, chops fresh fruits and keeps them ready, prepares breakfast for us and packs our lunches into a sets of cute matching colored boxes! She sends us all off to work and even reminds us to check if we have our phones, wallets, keys etc in place.
When we get back from work, the house is all tidied up and neat, dinner is made and kept in the fridge, fresh fruits are cut and placed on the dining table. She takes care of everything!
I have been raving about her to my friends all week. I wish I could take her home with me (haha).
When I didn't have to cook or clean, I had a lot of time to myself and looked at what she does objectively.
She made me realize how important being prepared is. We feel taken care of when everything is kept ready for us. Isn't it?
Most of the time, we spend our day searching for things we need for the task in hand. We scramble out of bed in a hurry to make a decent breakfast, search through our crammed wardrobe to find something appropriate to wear and rush to pack lunch only to realize there aren't any groceries in the pantry.
Imagine, what if someone laid it all out for you?
Unless we are lucky to have a maid like her we must do everything ourselves. So why not prepare for your tomorrow today?
Prepare for the next day the night before:
Take a moment and think. What can I do today to help my tomorrow go smoother?
- Pack office tote and laptop bag, keeping it ready by the entrance door.
- Laying out clothes for the next day along with all the matching accessories.
- Cleaning the kitchen while laying out things required for breakfast and lunch.
- Wash fruits and keep them on the dining table, remember to keep them covered.
- Lastly, writing a To-Do list for what to accomplish the next day.
If you can think of anything else that can help us prepare for the next day, leave them in the comment section below.
To add on to my state of peace we had been to a resort this weekend, amidst a quiet and serene place.
Thanks for reading :-)
